Sam Solakyan DEA Foundation Board of Directors
January 2012. Sam Solakyan has been an advocate for children’s charities and organizations which promote the healthy development of children for all of his adult years. So he was more than happy to be given the chance to get involved with The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Youth outreach programs for the Department of Justice. Last November, Sam was invited to travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with leaders from various government agencies. On that trip, department heads from the DEA, CIA, FBI and the White House graciously gave Sam a private tour of their respective headquarters. It was not long before he was asked to join the D.E.A’s prestigious Board of Directors. “After a tour like that, I was both excited and honored by the proposal to join the Board. ‘When and where can I jump in?’ was my first thought. Working with an agency of this caliber that serves our youth culture directly is an honor and a privilege. I accepted with great pride,” stated Sam Solakyan.
